Job summary

Architectus is seeking talented architects from graduates to project leads for upcoming rail projects in Sydney. You will join a national design and delivery team, contributing to city-shaping projects and complex infrastructure with a focus on design and delivery excellence.

Ideal candidates will have experience across large-scale public projects, strong Revit and 3D modelling skills, and knowledge of transport standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist and/or lead in the development and implementation of design concepts across briefing, predesign and conceptual design.
• Prepare architectural documentation including detailed design, renderings and presentations across all stages.
• Coordinate project delivery and oversee procurement and construction delivery.
• Report to Project Lead/Principal on objectives, progress, resources and finances.
• Identify problems that might affect quality, milestones or finances and propose solutions.
• Build strong relationships with clients and external contacts; collaborate with internal teams.

About the Role

With a number of upcoming railprojects, we are seeking candidates from experienced graduate up to projectlead level.

Working in our Sydney Studio with a nationalteam of design and delivery leaders within the Rail sector, you will play a keyrole working on key city shaping projects across Australia. We are looking forsomeone who prides themselves on design and delivery excellence and ideally,you will have in interest in working on transport projects, public space orcomplex infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist and / or lead in thedevelopment and implementation of design concepts, including in projectbriefing, predesign and conceptual design.
• Prepare architecturaldocumentation including detailed design, renderings and presentationsrequired across all project stages to an advanced standard. Coordinateeffective project delivery, including overseeing procurement andconstruction delivery.
• Report regularly to ProjectLead / Principal on projects, including objectives, progress, resourcesand finances.
• Identify any problems thatmight affect project quality, milestones or finance and makerecommendations to resolve them.
• Establish and nurture goodrelationships with clients and external project contacts. Work collaboratively withy internalstaff and teams.

• Qualifications that meetseligibility requirements for APE registration
• 2 - 8+ years post-graduationexperience
• Strong Revit and 3D modelling(Rhino preferred) and Adobe skills
• Rail experience is highlydesired
• Design communication skillsto convey design concepts through imagery and diagrams
• Preferredprior experience on large-scale, complex public projects
• Workingknowledge and experience applying the requirements of the BCA/NCC andother relevant standards such as the Transport Standards
• A passion for designing forpeople, places and communities
