Job summary

Torvac Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced fire protection tester/technician to join our Service & Maintenance team in Australia. The role covers monthly, 6-monthly and annual inspections, minor repairs of dry, wet and passive systems, and requires FPAS accreditation and a Cablers Licence where possible.

You will conduct tests and maintenance with a focus on safety, quality, and professional client interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience with monthly, 6-monthly and annual inspections of fire systems.
• Knowledge of AS1851-2012 and related inspection/testing standards.
• Familiarity with documentation and reporting of tests and faults.

Responsibilities

• Replacement and repairs to portable fire equipment.
• Fire extinguisher inspection and testing.
• Minor hose reel and hydrant repairs.
• Smoke alarm and fire door testing and repairs.
• Emergency and exit light testing and installation.
• Installation, maintenance and repairs of fire systems.
• Assist with fit outs and minor works.

Experienced Fire Protection Tester / Technician

Torvac Solutions Pty Ltd are seeking an experienced fire systems tester / technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have the experience and qualifications to conduct monthly, 6 monthly and annual inspection and testing and minor repairs of dry, wet and passive fire systems in accordance with AS1851-2012. This is a full-time position within our Service & Maintenance division. FPAS accreditation for Inspection and Testing will be highly regarded as will a Cablers Licence.

You will be self-motivated with solid customer relations skills using excellent communication and time management practices. As you will regularly visit sites and work with our key customers, professionalism and a neat and tidy appearance are paramount.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

Replacement and repairs to portable fire equipment.

Fire Extinguisher Inspection and Testing.

Minor Hose Reel and Hydrant systems repairs.

Smoke Alarm and Fire Door Testing and repairs.

Emergency and Exit light testing and installation.

Installation, maintenance and repairs of fire systems and emergency warning systems.

Assisting with fit outs and minor works as required.

Assisting with ordering parts and equipment.

Documenting all systems testing, faults and work notes using simPRO App on iphone.

Recording test results in Logbooks.

Skills and experience:

• Excellent time management practices.

• Knowledge of Australian Standard AS1851-2012.
• Current drivers licence.
• White Card.
• Able to work individually and as part of a team.
• Industry recognised accreditation.
