Job summary

Total Ventilation and Hygiene Services, servicing Sydney and regional NSW, is hiring a Fire Technician to inspect, test and maintain fire protection systems across commercial, healthcare and government sites. You’ll work to AS 1851 standards and manage your own day with support from a team.

The role covers Tamworth and Armidale, with a structured schedule, real OT and weekend penalties, a fully maintained company vehicle, tools, phone and laptop, plus training and career progression

Qualifications

• Qualified with a Certificate II or III in Fire Protection and Testing.
• PAS accreditation (or eligibility) for routine servicing of fire protection systems.
• Sound working knowledge of AS 1851.
• Current driver's licence.
• Right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test and maintain fire detection, suppression and passive fire systems to AS 1851.
• Service hydrants, hose reels, extinguishers, sprinklers and fire indicator panels.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs, replacements and minor upgrades.
• Issue compliant baseline data and condition reports for client portfolios.
• Complete service reports, photos and asset data through our mobile platform.
• Provide accurate verbal handovers and recommendations to site contacts.

The opportunity

We're hiring a fire technician for our Tamworth/Armidale, New South Wales team to inspect, test and maintain fire protection systems across commercial, healthcare and government sites. The work is structured, the schedule is planned, and the compliance trail is clean. You're trusted to run your own day, supported by a team that knows AS 1851 backwards, and paid properly for what you do, including after-hours callouts and weekends.

What you'll be doing
