Nursery Lead Educator
You know when you're good at what you do, and so do we.
At Little Wishes Carina, we're looking for experienced Early Childhood Educators who take genuine pride in their practice, hold themselves to a high professional standard and want to work somewhere that recognises the difference exceptional educators make.
If you're the educator who goes above and beyond, takes ownership, supports your team, builds genuine relationships with families and understands what high-quality early childhood education looks like, we want to meet you.
And if you're an experienced educator with your sights set on Room Leadership, we'll help you get there.
Little Wishes Carina is a family-owned, 119-place early learning service in the heart of Carina.
We believe great educators do their best work when they have the time, staffing, resources, support and trust to do their job properly.
That's why we've built our service differently.

4-day week, 9-day fortnight or traditional 5-day roster options
Additional educators in every room beyond minimum ratios

Rosters published four weeks in advance, so you can plan your life
Ongoing paid professional development
Leadership development and career progression opportunities
Employer-funded Blue Card renewals, First Aid, CPR, Child Protection, Safe Sleep training and other required professional training
Above-award wages, including applicable Worker Retention Payment
A workplace where ideas, initiative, professional knowledge and high standards are genuinely valued
We don't believe in putting someone into leadership and expecting them to simply work it out.
For the right educator, we can offer a genuine pathway into a future Room Leader position.
You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced Room Leaders while receiving mentoring, coaching and hands‑on leadership experience.
You’ll build your confidence in team leadership, room operations, programming, professional communication and decision-making while continuing to strengthen your own practice.
Our goal is simple:
Great Educator → Developing Leader → Confident Room Leader
If you’re ambitious enough to want leadership but wise enough to know that great leaders never stop learning, we want to hear from you.
We’re not looking for someone who simply wants a job in early childhood.
We’re looking for professionals who genuinely care about what they do.
To be successful, you will:
Hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
Have demonstrated experience within the early childhood sector
Hold a current Paid Blue Card
Be available to work full shifts across our operational hours, generally 4–5 days per week*
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Framework
Value child-led, play-based learning
Demonstrate intentional and reflective practice
Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families
Be organised, proactive and dependable
Communicate openly and professionally
Take responsibility for your decisions and your practice
Welcome feedback and continually look for ways to improve
Support your colleagues and contribute positively to your team's culture
Take genuine pride in the environments and experiences you create
And importantly — bring fun, laughter and joy to the children's and team's day
At Little Wishes, we have high expectations because children deserve our best.
We value educators who take ownership, reflect honestly, accept feedback, support one another and do what they say they will do.
You don't need to be perfect.
But you do need to care.
Care about your practice.
Care about the children.
Care about your team.
Care about the environment you create.
And care enough to keep getting better.
If you're an experienced educator ready for a fresh challenge...
If you want to work somewhere with additional staffing and genuine support...
If you're ready to be recognised for the quality of your practice...
Or if you're looking for the opportunity to take the next step into leadership...
this could be your next move.
At Little Wishes, we don't simply want to fill positions.
We want to find exceptional educators, invest in them and grow our future leaders from within.
We look forward to meeting educators who are ready to bring their experience, personality and passion to Little Wishes.
