Avenues Early Learning Centre – Carina QLD is seeking an Assistant Educator for a permanent part-time position. Join a caring team and support early childhood development with structured learning activities, led by a Lead Educator.

The role requires a Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education or higher, WWCC, and First Aid/CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, Child Protection & Food Safety certifications. Monday to Friday on-site work in Carina.

Qualifications

• Must have Certificate 3 in early childhood education or higher.
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis, Child Protection & Food Safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Educator in planning and implementing well-structured, age-appropriate learning goals and programs.
• Create and maintain learning environments that are safe and challenging to support well-being and development.
• Uphold professional ethics and conduct responsibilities and collaborate with families.
• Engage in professional learning opportunities to improve practice.
• Work collaboratively with the team to strive toward excellence.

Inspirational Early Childhood Assistant Educator Qualities:

Understanding children and their needs - must have knowledge of early childhood development

Experience in working with children and demonstrating responsive practices that meet children's individual needs & routines.

Emphasis on creating and maintaining learning environments for children which are physically safe yet promote a challenge to support well-being and development.

Help and Assist Lead Educator in planning and implementing well-structured, age-appropriate learning goals and programs that engage and provoke children’s learning

Self-motivated to engage in professional learning opportunities to improve practice
