Job summary

Birdon in Swansea is seeking Experienced Dredge Operators to join our team on a casual basis. You will carry out dredging activities on Birdon’s dredges, workboats and work punts, ensuring safe, efficient operations in a demanding maritime environment.

This role requires a Nationally accredited General Construction Induction (White Card), a strong commitment to quality and safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

We are looking for ExperiencedDredge Operators to join our team in Swansea on a Casual basis.

This role involves:

• Carrying out of all dredging related activities on Birdon's dredges, workboats and workpunts.
• Monitoring, tracking/recording of dredging production, and relevant HSEQ items.
• Assisting with general maintenance and housekeeping of all plant, equipment, and facilities.

Required criteria to be successful in this role:

• Nationally accredited General Construction Induction (White Card)
• Strong commitment to quality principles and dedication to workplace safety
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional criteria not essential but highly regarded:

Current Open Coxswain Grade 1 certification

• Experience Operating Excavators (30T)
• Experience Operating Telehandlers (7T and above) - as well as Forklift and Non
• Slewing Crane Licence
• High Risk Work Licenses (Dogging, Riggers, Forklift, EWP, Non-Slewing Crane)
• Welding tickets/experience
• MDG 25
• Working at Heights
• First Aid
• Mechanical or Electrical Trade
