Job summary

New Creation Print in Mulgrave, VIC is seeking an experienced operator to own the finishing department, operating Heidelberg Cylinder presses and a Heidelberg Platen. You will set up and run die-cutting, slitting, creasing and perforating, ensuring jobs are completed with accuracy and efficiency.

This is a hands-on, full-time role requiring proactive problem solving, reliable output, and the ability to work independently in a busy print finishing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience on Heidelberg Cylinder and/or Platen presses.
• Strong setup ability (packing, formes, make-ready)
• Solid understanding of sheet control, lays, and registration
• Ability to troubleshoot issues on press
• Reliable, detail-focused, and production-driven.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cylinder and platen machines for finishing work (die-cutting, slitting, creasing, perforating).
• Run jobs independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain consistent workflow with well-maintained Heidelberg equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on press to minimize downtime.

We’re looking for an experienced operator to take ownership of our finishing department, operating:

• 2 × Heidelberg Cylinder presses
• 1 × Heidelberg Platen

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for the setup and operation of cylinder and platen machines across a range of finishing work, including:

• Die-cutting
• Slitting
• Creasing
• Perforating

This is a hands-on role - we need someone who can set up and run jobs independently, not just operate pre-set work.
