Job summary

Cock & Bull Cairns is seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for creating delicious and high-quality dishes that will delight our customers and keep them coming back for more.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Cookery preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods.
• Ability to work weekends/evenings.
• Excellent time management and organization.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
• Ensure dishes are prepared and presented in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Adhere to company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
