Job summary

Nillumbik Shire Council is seeking an Exhibitions Officer to deliver a vibrant community exhibition program and support emerging artists. The role combines creativity with coordination, including managing social media, webpages and image libraries to promote local arts and culture.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating community exhibitions and gallery programs.
• Ability to market and promote events and exhibitions.
• Experience coordinating exhibition applications and selections.
• Ability to plan and oversee installation of exhibitions.
• Experience delivering public programs, events and workshops.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Eltham Library Community Gallery Exhibition Program, including marketing, annual call-outs and collateral.
• Coordinate exhibition applications and selection processes; plan and oversee installations.
• Deliver associated public programs, events, and workshops in collaboration with the Arts Program Officer.
• Provide guidance to exhibitors to develop their practice and manage social media content and image libraries.
• Provide technical exhibition support across the broader Nillumbik Shire exhibition program and contribute to evaluation and reporting.
