Job summary

The Smoking Camel in Byron Bay, part of Arcade Agency, is seeking a Venue Manager to own the operation and lead a fast-paced FOH team. You’ll drive the guest experience, culture and commercial performance with the Head Chef and leadership team.

Lead from the floor during service, coach staff, manage labour and budgets, and align front-of-house with back-of-house to deliver exceptional hospitality. You’ll influence how the venue grows and remains competitive while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality venue.
• Strong leadership presence and the ability to coach a front-of-house team.
• Excellent guest service focus with commercial awareness.
• Proven ability to manage labour, budgeting and P&L performance.
• RSA, WHS compliance knowledge and safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead all FOH operations and set service standards.
• Coach and support the FOH team in real time on the floor.
• Build and retain a high-performing, engaged team.
• Create a culture of hospitality, accountability and high standards.
• Taking ownership of the guest experience from entry to exit and manage feedback.
• Oversee labour budgets and financial performance.
• Align FOH with BOH with Head Chef collaboration.
• Utilise data systems for reporting and decision making.
• Recruit, roster, train and develop the leadership team.
• Represent the venue within Arcade Agency leadership.
