Job summary

SeaLink K’gari on K’gari (Fraser Island) seeks a Trade Qualified Executive Sous Chef to lead our food operations across four kitchens and three restaurants. This hands-on leadership role partners with chefs and stewards to deliver high-quality, safe dining experiences in a UNESCO World Heritage environment.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in senior kitchen roles, a Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery, and experience in high-volume resort settings.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV Commercial Cookery or equivalent (essential).
• Diploma in Hospitality Management (desirable).
• Food safety and hygiene training completed.
• Experience working in high-volume kitchen environments.
• Experience in a hotel/resort setting is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily operations across four kitchens and multiple service areas.
• Partner with chefs, cooks and stewards to maintain high-quality food operations.
• Drive food safety standards and foster a professional kitchen culture.

Education

Certificate III or IV Commercial Cookery (essential)

Diploma Hospitality Management (desirable)
