Job summary

Housing Australia is seeking an Associate Director, Operations & Governance to partner with the Chief Operating Officer and oversee the executive office, governance processes, and cross‑functional coordination within the Operations Group.

The role requires autonomy, strong stakeholder management at the executive level, and familiarity with board/committee governance. You will drive strategic initiatives and ensure timely, quality reporting and communications.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in senior executive support within large organisations.
• Familiarity with governance, board and committee processes.
• Executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate with high autonomy and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the COO's office, coordinating executive office functions, board and committee work.
• Support cross-divisional activity, tracking group priorities, and escalate issues as needed.
• Establish systems and rhythms for consistent, high-quality executive support.
• Manage the COO’s diary with strategic intent and preparation for engagements.
