Job summary

WSP in Australia seeks a Senior Major Projects Executive to lead pursuit and delivery of significant maritime and port infrastructure across Western Australia. Based in Perth, you will oversee multidisciplinary teams, strengthen client relationships and provide executive governance from opportunity through delivery.

You bring extensive leadership in maritime or coastal infrastructure, deep commercial acumen, and a track record of work-winning and major project appointments.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior leadership experience delivering major infrastructure projects, ideally within maritime, ports or coastal infrastructure.
• Alternatively, strong background in heavy civil or structural infrastructure with transferable experience to maritime environments.
• Strong understanding of WA infrastructure market with credible relationships across government, ports, asset owners, contractors and delivery partners.
• Proven success in work winning, executive client engagement and converting opportunities into major project appointments.
• Strong commercial capability including contract strategy, project financial management, risk and margin protection.
• Proven ability to govern complex multidisciplinary projects and lead senior teams through high‑risk delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead major maritime and port projects across Western Australia.
• Provide executive oversight of safety, quality, programme, budget and risk.
• Drive work winning, market positioning, bids and executive-level client engagement.
• Build trusted relationships with government, port authorities, asset owners, contractors and delivery partners.
• Establish governance and assurance frameworks for complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Mobilise and lead integrated teams across engineering, advisory and project delivery disciplines.
• Develop project leaders and foster a collaborative, high-performing delivery culture.
