Job summary

AECOM in Perth, WA is seeking an experienced Project Manager, Ports & Maritime to lead major maritime projects, build trusted client relationships and support our Ports & Marine team. This role combines strong project management with collaborative leadership across disciplines.

Lead projects from inception to completion, manage scope, budgets and risks, and drive proposals and client presentations to support business growth.

Qualifications

• Engineering, project management, or related discipline qualification.
• Experience leading complex ports, maritime or coastal infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage scope, budgets, schedules and risks.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating inputs across the project lifecycle.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior clients and translate priorities into outcomes.
• Experience developing proposals, leading pursuits and identifying opportunities for growth.
• People leadership with mentoring, career development and inclusive culture.
• Strong communication and presentation skills and sound commercial judgement.

Responsibilities

• Lead ports, harbours, marine and coastal infrastructure projects from inception to completion as Project Manager or Project Director.
• Manage scope, budgets, schedules, risks and resources to achieve quality outcomes and client satisfaction.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across maritime and coastal engineering, civil infrastructure, planning, environmental and advisory services.
• Ensure delivery aligns with AECOM’s PM framework, governance, quality systems and safety expectations.
• Support the Team Leader with workforce planning, resource allocation and operational improvements.
• Build relationships with senior client stakeholders, lead account development and identify cross-ecosystem opportunities.
• Lead proposals, tenders and client presentations, developing pursuit strategies and contributing to sales targets.
• Mentor project managers, engineers and emerging leaders, supporting career development and retention.
• Represent AECOM at industry events and promote safety, inclusion, collaboration and continuous improvement.
