Job summary

The Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration in Western Australia seeks a seasoned General Manager, Resource Access Branch, to lead six direct reports and drive major reform in native title and Aboriginal heritage processes. You will shape policy, modernise access frameworks and deliver whole-of-government reform agendas across legislative environments.

You will bring extensive senior management experience in native title, Aboriginal heritage, land access or related regulatory arenas, and

Qualifications

• Senior management experience in Native Title, Aboriginal Heritage, land access or related regulatory environments.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale change, business process improvement or service delivery reform.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with Ministers, government agencies and communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary Resource Access Branch with six direct reports.
• Drive strategic direction, performance and reform of native title and Aboriginal heritage approvals.
• Shape policy, modernise access frameworks and implement whole-of-government reform agendas.
• Deliver complex regulatory initiatives across legislative environments.
