Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

In this role, you will provide specialist environmental and regulatory advice to senior executives, industry stakeholders and government agencies, while driving best practice environmental regulation, continuous improvement and sound governance.

Key responsibilities
  • We are seeking an experienced and influential leader to manage a team of Environmental Officers responsible for the assessment, compliance and regulation of mining activities across Western Australia.
  • You will play a key leadership role in developing team capability, fostering a high-performing culture, managing complex regulatory matters and ensuring consistent delivery of quality environmental assessment, compliance and enforcement outcomes.
  • To be successful, you will possess a degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or an equivalent scientific discipline, together with significant experience in environmental management and regulation within the resources sector.
  • You will bring demonstrated leadership and people management expertise, with a proven ability to build capable, motivated and cohesive teams, navigate complex issues, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
