Job summary

The Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources in Melbourne seeks a Deputy Commissioner Investigations (SES Band 1) to lead the Commission's investigations program, including anti-dumping and countervailing investigations, and to provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary teams undertaking complex investigations, verification activities and evidence-based analysis.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in regulatory, investigative, policy or operational environments.
• Track record of managing large teams, competing priorities and risk.
• Experience delivering strategic advice on complex, sensitive issues and influencing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations program including anti-dumping and countervailing investigations.
• Provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary teams undertaking investigations, verification activities and evidence-based analysis.
• Manage a large team with clear priorities and strong operational oversight to achieve timely outcomes.
• Drive performance, case management and continuous improvement across the investigations function.
• Ensure investigations are conducted with integrity, fairness and technical rigour.
