Job summary

Crystalbrook Bailey is a modern, artistically inspired hotel in Cairns. We seek an Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team, uphold high standards, and ensure rooms and public areas meet exacting expectations.

You will report to the Hotel General Manager and drive cost-conscious, guest-focused operations. You will oversee rostering, budgets and stock control, while developing your people and promoting responsible housekeeping aligned with Crystalbrook Collection’s sustainable luxury

Qualifications

• Experience leading a large hotel housekeeping team.
• Strong grasp of room presentation, cleanliness and guest service standards.
• Experience recruiting, training and developing team members.
• Ability to manage departmental budgets, labour and stock.
• Proficient with hotel systems to plan workloads and monitor results.

The Opportunity:

As Executive Housekeeper at Crystalbrook Bailey, you will lead the team behind the thoughtful presentation and attention to detail that make our hotel feel welcoming from the moment guests arrive. Reporting to the Hotel General Manager, you will take responsibility for housekeeping across guest rooms and public spaces, setting clear standards and supporting your team to deliver them consistently.

You will combine a visible leadership presence with sound operational management, overseeing rostering, departmental budgets and stock control. Working closely with Front Office and Maintenance, you will keep room readiness and guest needs at the centre of daily planning, using feedback to improve the way your department operates. Developing your people will be a key part of the role, alongside supporting responsible housekeeping practices that reflect Crystalbrook Collection’s commitment to responsible luxury.

This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Talent:

You are an experienced hotel housekeeping leader who understands that consistent standards start with a well-supported team. Approachable and confident, you provide clear direction, invest in your people and build strong relationships across the hotel. You take pride in the details and bring the commercial understanding to run an effective department.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping management or supervision, with a proven ability to lead a large team.
• A strong understanding of housekeeping operations, room presentation and guest service standards.
• Experience recruiting, training and developing team members, with confidence managing performance.
• The ability to manage departmental budgets, monitor financial results and control labour, stock and operating costs.
• Confidence using hotel systems and technology to plan workloads and monitor results.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with a practical, calm approach to resolving issues and responding to changing priorities.
