Job summary

Kyogle Council seeks a visionary Director of Assets & Infrastructure Services to lead civil works, water and sewerage, asset management, roads, bridges, facilities, stormwater and emergency management. You will work closely with the General Manager, Mayor, Councillors and senior leadership to guide major infrastructure programs and champion sustainable services for residents.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field with significant leadership experience.
• Extensive expertise in civil engineering including water, sewerage, roads and asset management.
• Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets and complex capital works programs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement with a track record of partnerships.
• Leadership style that inspires excellence, collaboration and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level advice to the General Manager, Mayor, and Councillors on infrastructure and asset management matters.
• Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality civil works, maintenance, and capital projects.
• Oversee strategic planning, financial management, and contract administration within the Directorate.
• Foster strong community and stakeholder relationships, ensuring transparency, safety, and collaboration.
• Drive continuous improvement, compliance, and innovation across infrastructure and service delivery.
