Job summary

Kyogle Council seeks a visionary Director of Assets & Infrastructure Services to lead the Directorate responsible for civil works, water and sewerage, asset management, roads, bridges, facilities and emergency management.

You will provide strategic direction to the General Manager and Councillors, manage major programs, and drive sustainable services that improve residents’ lives. Join a capable executive team in a unique NSW region.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive expertise in civil engineering including water, sewerage, roads, and asset management.
• Experience in managing multi-million-dollar budgets, capital works programs and complex projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a track record of partnerships.
• Leadership style that inspires collaboration, accountability and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level strategic advice to the GM, Mayor and Councillors on infrastructure and asset management.
• Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team to deliver civil works, maintenance and capital projects.
• Oversee strategic planning, financial management and contract administration within the Directorate.
• Foster strong community and stakeholder relationships ensuring transparency and safety.
• Drive continuous improvement, compliance and innovation across infrastructure and service delivery.
