Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Hobart is seeking an Executive Coordinator to support the CEO, manage diaries, meetings and deadlines, and coordinate external engagements.
You’ll bring strong organisation, attention to detail, discreet handling of confidential information, and excellent communication. Flexible arrangements negotiable; full-time with part-time options.
Be trusted. Be appreciated. Help our CEO do their best work.
You know the difference great executive support makes. You take satisfaction in keeping someone organised, anticipating what they need and making sure the details are covered so they can focus on leading. You’re looking for a role where that contribution is recognised and valued.
At the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we’re looking for an Executive Coordinator who enjoys being that person. It’s an exciting time at TCCI as we set our direction for the years ahead.
As an Employer of Choice, we offer a supportive workplace that values flexibility and the experience you bring. You’ll join a small team, be trusted to use your initiative, work closely with the CEO and see how your contribution helps TCCI support and represent Tasmanian businesses.
Ideally full time, with part-time arrangements negotiable.
Manage the CEO’s diary, appointments and meetings, anticipating what’s coming up and flagging competing priorities.
Help the CEO prepare for meetings, organise supporting information and follow up anything that’s missing.
Track deadlines and agreed actions, provide timely reminders and keep the CEO informed of outstanding work.
Pick up the phone to liaise with members, stakeholders, government and business contacts, get information and move things forward.
Prepare routine correspondence.
Assist with arrangements for external engagements, including events, speaking and media commitments.
You’re friendly and take pride in providing excellent support. You use sound judgement, anticipate what’s needed and follow things through.
You’ll bring:
Experience in executive, administrative or coordination support, including managing diaries, meetings and deadlines.
Strong organisation and attention to detail.
Clear written and verbal communication and an approachable, professional manner.
Confidence using Microsoft 365 and learning new business systems.
The ability to work with limited supervision and handle confidential information with discretion.
A practical, responsive approach to managing competing priorities in a busy environment.
Experience in a business, government, membership or professional services environment would be useful, as would familiarity with customer relationship management or task management systems.
