Job summary

Ovolo Sydney is recruiting an Executive Chef for the Pre-Opening & Culinary Excellence phase. You will lead the kitchen, own the culinary vision, and drive standards across all service touchpoints from cafe to events.

Qualifications

Extensive Executive Chef experience within luxury hotels or premium lifestyle venues.
Proven track record delivering hotel or major hospitality pre-openings.
Experience developing menus, recipes, SOPs and kitchen standards.

Responsibilities

Lead the culinary pre-opening journey from concept through to launch.
Develop and deliver menus across cafe, restaurant, bar, all‑day dining, in‑room dining and events.
Create recipes, specifications, presentation standards and kitchen operating procedures.
Lead menu tastings, supplier engagement and premium product sourcing.
Build and coach a high-performing kitchen brigade.
Set and maintain exceptional standards for food quality, consistency, presentation and service.
