Job summary

The Royal Hotel Paddington, part of Public House Management Group (PHMG), is seeking an experienced Chef to join our high-volume kitchen team in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. You will assist with kitchen management, menu planning and recipe ideas while leading and training junior staff to deliver consistent pub fare and on-trend dishes.

We require trade qualifications and 2–3 years of chef experience in similar venues, with strong HACCP knowledge and a passion for fresh produce and great service.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in culinary arts or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience as a Chef in a similar venue.
• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced kitchens.
• Ability to lead and train junior kitchen staff.
• Strong HACCP, food safety and WHS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist with kitchen/section management and menu planning.
• Prepare and cook all menu items to spec.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff.
• Ensure food safety and HACCP compliance.
• Maintain high service standards during peak periods.
• Assist with menu development and recipe ideas.
