Qualifications

  • 3–5 years experience as an Executive Chef or similar role.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.

Description

Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef to lead the kitchen team in our Tuggeranong Canberra Southern Cross Club (CSCC) Venue. The Executive Chef will be responsible for menu creation, kitchen management, and ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests, from day-to-day service to special events.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team on developing and designing menus.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training and performance reviews.
  • Control food costs and manage inventory.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Strategise with management and your team for revenue growth opportunities.
  • Assist in maintaining a positive working culture in the kitchen where all staff feel welcome and valued.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years experience an as Executive Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
