Job summary

The Canberra Southern Cross Club is seeking a Storesperson to support stock control and procurement at the Yacht Club Precinct in Canberra. You will work with the Stores Manager, Chefs, Venue and Service Managers, and Finance to ensure efficient, compliant operations.

You will manage stock movements, liaise with suppliers, ensure safe and hygienic storage, and identify opportunities to improve processes and promote sustainable purchasing practices across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores or inventory management within hospitality or similar environment.
• Purchasing and supplier coordination experience.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Proven track record of implementing operational processes.
• Experience working across multiple departments in a hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of stock control systems.
• Understanding of sustainable procurement practices.

About the Role

We're on the hunt for a Storesperson to assist with stores operations at the Yacht Club Precinct. You'll be the driving force behind accurate stock control, supporting the Stores Manager and a well‑run, compliant store environment, working closely with our Chefs, Venue and Service Managers, and Finance team to keep our operations running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assisting with stock movement and rotation to maintain quality and reduce waste
• Building strong relationships with suppliers
• Keeping stores operations safe, hygienic, and compliant with WHS and Public Health requirements
• Identifying process improvements and championing sustainable, ethical purchasing
• Collaborating closely with Chefs, F&B leaders, and Finance to support smooth day‑to‑day operations
