Job summary

TerraCom Limited is seeking highly motivated production excavator operators to operate our 400t class excavators (L9400, EX3600-7) within the Blair Athol Coal Mine, Queensland. The role requires prior production excavator experience and a strong safety mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and teamwork.

You will work in a dynamic mining environment on a 7 days on / 7 days off roster, with the option to live locally or DIDO from nearby coastal towns.

Qualifications

• Have previous production Excavator experience on either L9400 or EX3600 (or similar) with GPS production systems.
• Experience operating in a mining environment.
• A positive can-do attitude with a strong passion for safety improving mining efficiencies.
• Interpretation of dig plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A willingness to try new ways of operating and a drive for continuous improvement.
• A team player who can help influence and shape our culture to ensure a safe, productive, sustainable and disciplined approach to work is maintained.

An exciting opportunity awaits, highly motivated and experienced production Excavator Operators to operate in our production excavator fleet as part of the mining operations. Your role will be to operate our 400t class excavators, L9400 and EX3600-7, which are used to load shot rock and coal.If you are committed to Safety, have a positive & supportive can-do attitude that will contribute to our great team culture, then we want to hear from you!

This position offers the flexibility to live locally or DIDO on a 7 days on 7 days off rotating day and night shift roster. The Blair Athol Coal mine is located an easy 20 minute commute from the family-friendly township of Clermont in Central Queensland, 120 km northwest of the FIFO hub of Emerald and an easy driving distance from nearby coastal communities.
