Job summary

Workfast is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator with Level 2 experience for an immediate start at a Rockbank site in Victoria. You will safely operate excavators, extract and stockpile materials, and assist with quarry duties in a safety-focused team.

Applicants must hold a current Excavator Ticket, a valid Australian driver s licence, and full Australian working rights. Roster is Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts with potential overtime, weekly pay, and long-term ongoing work for the right

Qualifications

• Current Excavator Ticket.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Previous Civil/Mining/Quarry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavators of various sizes across quarry operations with face loading experience.
• Extract, load, move and stockpile quarry materials as required.
• Load trucks and other mobile plant safely and efficiently.
• Complete daily pre-start inspections and identify any mechanical or safety issues.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, truck drivers and other quarry personnel.

Workfast is looking for an experienced Excavator Operator with Level 2 experience, to start ASAP!

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavators of various sizes across quarry operations with face loading experience.
• Extract, load, move and stockpile quarry materials as required.
• Front and sales loading
• Load trucks and other mobile plant safely and efficiently.
• Conduct excavation, battering, trenching and general earthmoving activities.
• Feed and manage material around crushing and screening operations where required.
• Maintain stockpiles and ensure materials are placed correctly.
• Complete daily pre-start inspections and identify any mechanical or safety issues.
• Operate machinery in accordance with site procedures and safety requirements.
• Assist with general quarry duties and other mobile plant operations when required.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, truck drivers and other quarry personnel.
• Follow all workplace health and safety, environmental and operational procedures.
• Report hazards, incidents, equipment faults and maintenance requirements promptly.
