MacKellar Group is seeking experienced Excavator Operators near Nyngan to join a stable, long-term mining operation. You will operate large equipment, support production targets and uphold strict safety standards in a modern fleet environment.

Earn $70.00/hr plus super on rostered hours with a permanent 7/7 DIDO roster. MacKellar emphasizes safety, reliability, and career progression within Australia’s mining and civil projects.

Qualifications

• Experience operating 120t+ excavators and D9+ dozers in open-cut mining.
• Current RII competencies and/or verifiable operating history.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Reliable attendance and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate 120t+ excavators and D9+ dozers in a production mining environment.
• Safely and efficiently load haul trucks to maximise production.
• Complete pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks.
• Identify and report equipment faults and maintenance requirements.
• Work closely with Supervisors and Production crews to achieve daily production targets.
• Follow mine plans, site procedures, and operational standards.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, housekeeping, and equipment reliability.

About the Role

As an Excavator Operator, you'll play a key role in delivering safe and efficient production outcomes. Working alongside an experienced production team, you'll operate large mining equipment while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and equipment care.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate 120t+ excavators and D9+ dozers in a production mining environment
• Safely and efficiently load haul trucks to maximise production
• Complete pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
• Identify and report equipment faults and maintenance requirements
• Work closely with Supervisors and Production crews to achieve daily production targets
