Job summary

Macmahon is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our surface mining crew in Western Australia. You will operate 400 tonne+ excavators and other mining equipment, meeting production targets while adhering to safety practices and site rules.

You will work within a skilled team on our Tropicana operation, with a 2:1 roster (day and night shifts) and FIFO from Perth and Kalgoorlie. A strong safety focus and teamwork are essential for success in this crew.

Qualifications

• Experience operating excavators in a mining environment.
• Proficient with CAT 6060/6040 and Hitachi 5600.
• Roster: 2:1 day and night shifts.
• FIFO from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

Responsibilities

• Safe, efficient operation of large excavator equipment.
• Complete pre-starts and report hazards or defects immediately.
• Follow plans, instructions and traffic management rules.
• Maintain a tidy work area and support safe interactions with all teams.

About the Role
