Job summary

ACT Corrective Services seeks a Programs Facilitator (ASO6) to support detainees and offenders through evidence-informed programs across custodial and community corrections. You will facilitate group and individual interventions and contribute to rehabilitation and reintegration outcomes that enhance community safety.

The role involves program assessments, case planning, progress monitoring, and reporting. Flexible working options may include hybrid arrangements across ACT locations to suit

Qualifications

• Experience working with offenders and/or individuals with complex behavioural, mental health or psychosocial needs is highly desirable.
• Background police checks will be conducted.
• A current ACT Driver’s Licence is essential.
• Eligible for ACT Public Service employment (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work visa).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a range of group-based and individual interventions for detainees and offenders.
• Undertake program suitability assessments and administer pre/post intervention tools.
• Contribute to offender case planning and monitor participant progress and outcomes.
• Assist in evaluation and continuous improvement of programs and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to support person-centred service delivery and rehabilitation outcomes.
