Regional Australia Institute – Canberra ACT is seeking an experienced Events & Membership Manager to lead flagship events and education programs and grow a national membership network. Reporting to the General Manager External Affairs & Engagement, you will drive engagement, manage budgets, and coordinate speakers, sponsors and partners across multi-program initiatives.

You will work with a small, dedicated team to deliver high-impact regional initiatives, foster sponsor relationships and ensure

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager External Affairs & Engagement, you will lead the delivery of the Regional Australia Institutes flagship events and education programs while supporting the growth and engagement of our national membership network.

Key responsibilities

Delivering the Regions Rising Event Series

Managing delivery of the Executive Masterclass Program

Managing delivery of the Regional Activator Leaders Program

Coordinating the research webinar series

Recruiting and managing speakers, sponsors and partners

Supporting membership acquisition, retention and engagement activities

Managing event budgets, logistics and supplier relationships

Building strong relationships with members, sponsors and stakeholders

About you

Demonstrated experience delivering large and small scale conferences, events and stakeholder engagement activities

Strong organisational and project management skills

Excellent communication and relationship management capabilities

Experience working with sponsors and external stakeholders

Experience managing competing priorities and deadlines

A passion for strengthening regional Australia and supporting impactful initiatives
