Job summary

Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) in Sydney is seeking a Conference Centre Coordinator to support day-to-day operations of the Sydney Conference Centre. In a hands-on role you’ll help deliver professional events and ensure every guest enjoys a seamless and welcoming experience for internal and external users.

Reporting to the Conference Centre Manager NSW, you’ll coordinate room set-ups, catering, AV requirements and on-the-day event support, with a focus on exceptional

Qualifications

• Experience in a hospitality, functions or events coordination role.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Confidence using and troubleshooting audio‑visual equipment.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• RSA certification and food safety knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Conference Centre functions, events and room set-ups to meet stakeholder requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service and act as a key contact for event attendees and clients.
• Manage catering, stock levels, room presentation and event logistics.
• Support the set-up, operation and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment.
• Maintain safe and compliant practices relating to food handling, workplace safety and responsible service of alcohol.
• Identify opportunities to improve services, processes and customer experiences.
