Job summary

Elmore & District Machinery Field Days Inc in Elmore VIC is seeking a motivated person to assist in day-to-day maintenance of the Elmore events site, with opportunities to operate telehandlers, mowers, tractors and other farm equipment.

The role involves site presentation, event setup and pack up, chemical application, and general vehicle and equipment checks. Training and licences will be provided to the right candidate, with salary negotiated based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance or farming is desirable.
• Interest in mobile plant operation (telehandler, mower, tractor, crane).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Day to day general grounds duties and maintenance.
• Operation of farm machinery including telehandlers, sprayers, mowers and tractors.
• Set up and pack up of events including Elmore Field Days and other events.
• Chemical application.
• Site presentation, mowing, cleaning day yards and stables, watering.
• Preparation of arenas for equestrian events and day yards.
• General maintenance and checks of farm vehicles and equipment.
• Additional tasks as directed by Executive Manager or Events Managers

Elmore & District Machinery Field Days Inc – Elmore VIC

A community owned organisation, the Elmore Events Centre (EEC) is home to the Elmore Field Days, Elmore Equestrian Park, Elmore Jet Boats & Elmore Tractor Pull. In addition to these activities the EEC also hosts many annual and one day events.

We are seeking a highly motivated person with an interest in the Agricultural field to assist in the day-to-day maintenance, upkeep, set up and clean-up of the Elmore events site.

This is a great opportunity for someone with knowledge and/or interest in mobile plant operation (telehandler, mower, tractor, crane etc.) grounds maintenance, farming or the Equine industry to grow into a key staff role within the organisation.

Training and relevant licencing will be provided to the right candidate if required

Responsibilities are varied and may include:

• Day to day general grounds duties and maintenance.
• Operation of farm machinery including telehandlers, sprayers, mowers and tractors.
• Set up and pack up of various events including Elmore Field Days,Equestrian and Events Centre events.
• Chemical application.
• Site Presentation, including but not limited to; clean-up of site, mowing, site infrastructure maintenance, cleaning day yards and stables, watering and mowing of key public spaces within the property.
• Preparation of arenas for equestrian events including stabling and day yards.
• General maintenance and checks of farm vehicles, small motors, and other equipment.
• Additional tasks as directed by Executive Manager or Events Managers

• Good people skills to interact with our clients

Annual salary will be negotiated depending on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.
