Job summary

Assembly Yard is seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to help run a diverse range of events. You will coordinate with staff, clients and vendors to ensure safe, smooth execution while upholding OHS standards and delivering memorable experiences.

Responsibilities include coordinating operations, maintaining venue safety, and communicating clearly with stakeholders. Weekend and late-night work may be required, with a focus on professional development and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Event Execution: Support operations to maintain standards and OHS compliance; use design programs as needed.
• Communication: Liaise with clients and vendors to clarify responsibilities for seamless events.
• Venue Maintenance: Regular venue walkthroughs to identify hazards and maintain presentation.
• Operational Compliance: Adhere to internal systems for peak venue performance.
• Professional Development: Participate in training; PDP provided for growth.
• Problem Solving: Address issues proactively and escalate when necessary.

About Us: At Assembly Yard, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional event experiences. From weddings and concerts to corporate functions and photoshoots, our versatile venue caters to a diverse range of events, and we're looking for a dynamic Event Coordinator to join our team.

Position Overview: The Event Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the successes running of events at our venue. You will ensure the safe and efficient running of all events while fostering positive client relationships and upholding our commitment to occupational health and safety. This position involves coordinating with staff, clients and vendors to create unforgettable experiences.

• Event Execution: Support operations team ensuring operational standards and OHS compliance are maintained at all times. Must have an understanding and use of design programs such as; Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
• Communication: Liaise effectively with clients and vendors to clarify responsibilities and ensure seamless execution of events.
• Venue Maintenance: Conduct regular walkthroughs of the venue, identifying and addressing any hazards, and ensuring the venue is well-maintained and presentable.
• Operational Compliance: Understand and adhere to internal systems and operations, ensuring the venue performs at its best.
• Professional Development: Participate in training modules as needed, with a Professional Development Plan (PDP) provided to support your growth.
• Problem Solving: Proactively address any issues that arise, working towards solutions before escalating to management when necessary.
