Event AV Technician — Setup, Support & Delivery

Job summary

Hume City Council is seeking a capable AV Technician to support professional audio-visual and event services across Town Hall Broadmeadows, Hume Global Learning Centres and other venues. You will be responsible for setup, operation and pack down of AV equipment, and provide technical support to ensure successful events.

Applicants should have at least two years' on-the-job AV experience, strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to deliver high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Audio Visual with at least two years on the job experience.
• Demonstrated ability to setup, operate and fault-find AV equipment.
• Ability to deliver high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure setup and pack down of AV equipment is completed for all events.
• Respond to requests for support by providing information to enable incident resolution and promptly allocate unresolved issues as appropriate, maintain records and advise AV Technician.
• Work as part of the team to provide high-quality customer service for clients / users interested in hiring a venue, room or facility.
• Ensure that any complaints are managed and dealt with in a timely and efficient manner in consultation with the senior leadership team for Venues and Operations.
• Develop and maintain a sound understanding of the Hume City Council policies, procedures and processes.
• Provide support to all members of the broader Community Facilities Unit.
