Job summary

Australia Post in Sydney, NSW is seeking a Mail Sorting Officer for a part-time evening role. You will be based at a Delivery Centre, assisting with the preparation of mail for the next day and supporting Posties to deliver essential services to communities.

You will work with letters, parcels and Express Post items, using processing equipment and hand tools, with a focus on safety, reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Detail-focused, reliable and able to handle mail and parcels up to 16kg.
• Communicate clearly, work proactively and support teammates in busy environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing letters, parcels and Express Post items.
• Sort mail that cannot be machine-processed and help load/unload mail from bags, trays and containers.
• Operate load-shifting tools and coordinate with the team to keep mail moving safely.
