Job summary

AHS Nursing Agency is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join a care team in Dee Why NSW 2099, offering ongoing casual shifts in the evenings. You will support a male child with Autism and sensory needs, including personal care, social participation, and community access.

The role requires compassion, patience, and the ability to work collaboratively with families and the care team. WWCC, First Aid/CPR, and a valid WWC check are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Disability Support Worker.
• Experience supporting children with Autism, sensory needs, or vision impairments.
• Ability to provide personal care, domestic assistance, and social support.
• Proactive and patient approach with families and care teams.
• Physically capable of providing safe mobility support.
• Ability to build rapport and create a positive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with domestic tasks.
• Support community access and participation.
• Encourage safe mobility and confidence during walks.
• Help the participant maintain independence in daily routines.
• Collaborate with family and the broader care team.
• Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation.
