Job summary

Nepali Lai Kaam is seeking a Disability Support Worker in Sydney (Dee Why NSW 2099) to provide compassionate, personalised care for a young participant. The role focuses on helping with daily living activities, community access, and independence, within a supportive care team.

The position offers flexible hours, ongoing shifts, and competitive hourly rates. Prior experience with autism, sensory needs, or vision impairments is valued, with emphasis on safety, communication, and family

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Disability Support Worker.
• Experience supporting children with Autism, sensory needs, or vision impairments.
• Ability to provide personal care, domestic assistance, and social support.
• Proactive approach to supporting clients to achieve goals and maintain community participation.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with domestic tasks.
• Support community access and participation.
• Encourage safe mobility and confidence while walking.
• Assist the participant to maintain independence within daily routine.
• Work collaboratively with family members and the broader care team.
• Provide practical support tailored to the participant’s individual needs.
• Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation.
