Job summary

NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is seeking an Evaluation Data Analyst to support monitoring and evaluation across Regional Programs & Partnerships. You will collect, manage, analyse, and report data underpinning evaluation findings to drive evidence-based decisions.

The role requires strong data analysis skills, experience with Excel, Power Query and Power BI, and the ability to communicate insights to stakeholders.

• Location: Willing to consider candidates across all DPIRD NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based regionally.
• Clerk Grade 7/8– Salary starting from$116,981.00 per annum(FTE)plus super and leave loading

About The Role

As an Evaluation Data Analyst, you will contribute to the delivery of monitoring and evaluation activities across Regional Programs & Partnerships. You will support the collection, management, analysis and reporting of data that underpins evaluation findings and helps drive evidence-based decision making

About You

You are an analytical and detail-oriented professional who enjoys turning data into meaningful insights. You can confidently work with data, communicate findings clearly and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

You Will Have

• Demonstrated experience collecting, managing, analysing, and reporting on data from multiple sources.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and insights from complex datasets.
• Experience using data analysis and visualisation tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power BI, or similar software. (Essential)
• Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly and effectively through reports, dashboards, visualisations, and presentations. (Essential)
