Job summary

Wood is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to join our Melbourne team. Reporting to the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for mechanical engineering across rotating, static and package equipment, HVAC, and developing specifications, data sheets and material requisitions.

You will provide technical bid analysis, answer engineering queries and support early design input, coordinating with other disciplines and clients to deliver assigned projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified with at least 5 years' experience, predominantly in Oil & Gas.
• Member of Engineers Australia preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AS 1210 and ASME BPVC.
• Experience in conceptual, FEED, detailed design and studies.
• Able to liaise with other disciplines, project managers and clients' representatives.
• Candidates must have full work rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering for rotating, static, package equipment, HVAC and development of specifications, data sheets and material requisitions.
• Develop specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, technical bid analysis and engineering queries.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and clients.
• Prepare bid clarification questions and handle responses, coordinating technical aspects of bid clarifications.
• Assist in front end and detailed design input and coordinate assignments within budget and schedule.
