Job summary

JPS Recruitment Group is partnering with a Brisbane builder to recruit an experienced Estimator for its growing new-build division. You will take ownership of tenders primarily for education projects valued between $5M and $20M, joining a four-person estimators team and reporting to a hands-on Estimating Manager.

With typically two tenders active at once, you will deliver accurate, competitive submissions while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating for commercial new-build projects.
• Ability to manage tenders end-to-end with accuracy.
• CostX experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage tenders for new-build projects valued $5M - $20M.
• Prepare estimates, take-offs and tender submissions using CostX and Excel.
• Coordinate subcontractor pricing and supplier quotations.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering options.
• Work with the Estimating Manager on tender strategy and submissions.
• Contribute to construction methodologies and programmes where required.

The Opportunity

This established Brisbane builder is looking for an experienced Estimator to take ownership of tenders across its growing new-build division, primarily delivering education projects valued between $5M and $20M.

You'll join a team of four, working alongside a hands-on Estimating Manager who is looking for someone capable of independently managing the new-build tender workload.

With typically two tenders on the go at any one time, you'll have the time and support to produce accurate, competitive submissions without being overloaded.
