Job summary

Bluestone Recruitment is partnering with a growing construction business to appoint an Estimator / Scheduler to support residential construction operations. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with 2–3 years’ experience in residential estimating who wants to further develop estimating and scheduling skills.

You will work with the broader construction team to prepare costings, review plans, liaise with suppliers, and assist with build programme management to help deliver projects on

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of residential estimating experience.
• Solid understanding of residential construction methods, materials and building documentation.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confident communication with internal stakeholders, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn across estimating and scheduling.

Bluestone Recruitment is partnering with a growing construction business to appoint an Estimator / Scheduler to support its residential construction operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional with 2–3 years’ experience in residential estimating who is looking to further develop their technical and operational skills across both estimating and production scheduling.

Working closely with the broader construction team, you will play an important role in preparing accurate costings, coordinating construction programmes and helping ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to budget.

The Opportunity This varied role will suit someone with a solid understanding of residential construction, strong attention to detail and an interest in the commercial and operational side of building.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing residential construction estimates, costings and material take-offs.
• Reviewing plans, specifications and building documentation to ensure accurate pricing.
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and verify pricing.
• Assisting with construction scheduling, trade coordination and build programme management.
• Monitoring project progress, identifying potential delays and supporting workflow improvements.
• Maintaining accurate estimating and scheduling records, systems and documentation.
• Working collaboratively with internal teams to support efficient project delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
