Role Description

The Estimator & Project Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Brisbane, QLD. This position is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and budgets for a range of construction projects, and updating these as designs evolve. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotes, and identifying potential risks or cost-saving opportunities. The role also involves coordinating project schedules, assisting with procurement, supporting site teams, and maintaining clear communication with clients and professional partners. The Estimator & Project Coordinator will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong estimating and cost planning skills, including experience with quantity take-offs, budget development, and tender preparation.
• Project coordination capabilities, such as scheduling, tracking milestones, and supporting procurement and site activities.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of construction safety principles and risk assessment, including awareness of hazards such as asbestos.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and professional partners.
• Proficiency with relevant software (e.g., estimating tools, MS Excel, project management platforms).
• Experience in residential or commercial construction environments; background in similar estimator or coordinator roles is highly regarded.
• Relevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Brisbane, QLD, manage multiple projects concurrently, and maintain a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
