Job summary

Multhana is seeking an Estimator (Building & Landscaping) in Brisbane to prepare accurate cost estimates for building and landscaping projects. You will work with project managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to price projects effectively, assess risks, and ensure tenders align with scope and budgets.

The role requires reviewing plans, specifications and tender documents, producing detailed take-offs, and sourcing competitive quotes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating and cost planning.
• Strong knowledge of Australian construction regulations, safety standards, and building codes.
• Experience interpreting plans, specifications, and tender documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review project documentation, specifications, and drawings to assess project scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender submissions for building and landscaping projects.
• Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive and accurate quotations.

Purpose of the Role

The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for building and landscaping projects. Working closely with project managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, the role ensures projects are priced effectively, risks are assessed, and tenders align with project scope, budgets, and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating and cost planning.
• Strong knowledge of Australian construction regulations, safety standards, and building codes.
• Experience interpreting plans, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction estimating/management software.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within the construction industry.
• Current QLD Blue Card (or ability to obtain) and National Police Check (or ability to obtain).

Desirable

• Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
• Experience with contract tendering and negotiations.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Experience using Aroflo or similar estimating software.
