Job summary

Linktal Recruitment is partnering with a Brisbane CBD client to recruit an Estimator for new-build school and commercial projects. You will assess drawings, prepare cost estimates and driving quantity take-offs to support tenders.

The role requires a minimum of five years' Estimator experience in relevant sectors, strong subcontractor liaison skills and a proactive value-engineering mindset. Join a stable team with a strong project pipeline.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Estimator in new-build school and commercial construction.
• Proven ability to interpret architectural/engineering drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Experience preparing detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs and BOQs.
• Confident liaising with subcontractors and suppliers for quotations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for new-build school and commercial projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender docs.
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities.
• Source, review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identify risks, discrepancies and opportunities for value engineering.
• Prepare and submit tender proposals within deadlines.

Our client is an established commercial construction business delivering new-build, fit-out and refurbishment projects across the education, health, retail and hospitality sectors.

They're looking for an experienced Estimator to join their team based in Brisbane CBD.

About You
