Job summary

MPA Construction in Sydney is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our expanding team. You will support the tender process, price submissions accurately and ensure alignment with our values across fit-out and refurbishment projects.

You will source and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, review designs at various stages, and help deliver projects on time, to quality standards and within budget. 3+ years' estimating experience in the fit-out and refurbishment sector is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in the fit out and refurbishment sector.
• Pricing projects valued over $2 million.
• Bachelor in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support the tender process by ensuring submissions are accurately priced and aligned with company values.
• Source subcontractors and suppliers with high capability and compliance.
• Review designs and plans at various development stages and engage with stakeholders to meet cost, time and quality targets.

With a growing team and an exciting line-up of projects coming up, we are looking for an experienced Estimator to join the MPA team.

About the role

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will join a high performing team who are integral to our success in winning landmark projects. You will support the tender process by ensuring submissions are accurately priced, transparent, and consistent with MPA's values.

To drive commercial outcomes, you will effectively source subcontractors and suppliers with a high level of capability and compliance, leveraging your relationships to deliver the best possible budget outcome. You will review designs and plans at various stages of development and engage with subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered with time, quality and cost outcomes to meet client requirements.

About you

You are a collaborative team player who projects confidence, credibility, and expertise. The ideal candidate has:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in thefit outandrefurbishmentsector,working for aHeadContractor.
• Proven experience pricing projects valued over $2 million.
• ABachelor in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• The ability to effectively simplify complex information to suit the audience as required.
• Provenexperiencedevelopingand managingstrongrelationshipswithinternalteammembersat all levelsas well as sub-contractorsand suppliers.
• Experience and confidenceworking in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Commitmentto developing positive and collaborative working relationships.
• Experienceparticipatingin estimating review and handover meetings.
