Job summary

Pioneer Water Tanks, part of the Ahrens Group, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Bellevue, WA team. You will qualify every opportunity, price it accurately, and present proposals professionally.

You will manage RFQs, cost estimates, handovers with stakeholders, and maintain CRM records while building strong client relationships and exploring design options with customers. This role supports growth within a leading Australian-owned family business dedicated to quality and

Responsibilities

• Manage RFQs and run Go/No-Go assessments.
• Take part in estimation handovers with stakeholders.
• Prepare RFIs and manage clarifications.
• Build accurate cost estimates and supporting documentation.
• Support internal reviews and approvals.
• Develop and submit proposals with clear scope definitions.
• Keep CRM records and pipeline visibility up to date.
• Support project handover and post-bid reviews.
• Build strong client relationships and explore design alternatives with customers.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join the Pioneer Water Tanks team at our Bellevue, WA location. You'll make sure every opportunity is qualified, accurately priced, commercially sound and professionally presented.

What you'll do

• Manage RFQs and run Go/No-Go assessments
• Take part in estimation handovers with stakeholders
• Prepare RFIs and manage clarifications
• Build accurate cost estimates and supporting documentation
• Support internal reviews and approvals
• Develop and submit proposals with clear scope definitions
• Keep CRM records and pipeline visibility up to date
• Support project handover and post-bid reviews
• Build strong client relationships, explore design alternatives with customers and promote Pioneer in the market
• Look for ways to improve our processes and bring ideas to the Operations Manager

What you'll bring

• Experience in estimating, technical sales or bid management
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong commercial awareness and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• Effective time management, commercial discipline and sound decision-making
• A collaborative, client-focused approach, with positivity and enthusiasm

Nice to have

• Tertiary qualifications in building, engineering, quantity surveying or a related field
• Water storage industry experience
• Mining, large-scale industry and infrastructure experience
