Job summary

Ultra Tech Plumbing Pty Ltd is seeking an Equipment Hire Manager to oversee daily equipment operations, fleet logistics and procurement across projects in Casula, NSW. The role focuses on maintaining availability, scheduling servicing, and optimizing hire spend while ensuring safety compliance and productive asset use.

You will lead a small team, coordinate with suppliers and site personnel, and contribute to revenue growth through efficient asset management.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience in equipment hire, plant management, logistics or construction operations.
• Familiarity with construction plant, machinery and equipment.
• Strong organisational, team leadership and coordination skills.
• A valid Australian Class C driver’s licence.
• White Card (Construction Induction Training).
• Understanding of workplace health and safety procedures and equipment safety.
• Basic computer and administrative skills, including email, Excel and equipment management systems.
• Nice to Have: Excavator or other plant operating experience.
• Heavy vehicle or haulage truck licence.
• Certificate III or IV in Business, Logistics or a relevant mechanical trade.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and control daily equipment operations, including dispatch, returns and maintenance.
• Coordinate allocation and movement of machinery, vehicles and equipment between projects.
• Manage equipment bookings, hire arrangements, supplier quotations and hire contracts.
• Assess credit terms and facilities offered to customers.
• Analyse market supply and demand to inform purchasing decisions.
• Monitor inventory, fleet availability and servicing schedules.
• Liaise with suppliers, mechanics, contractors and project personnel.
• Ensure equipment is maintained in safe, serviceable condition and record keeping.
