Acacia Environmental Management seeks Environmental Team Members to support field operations across Greater Melbourne. You will work on ecological restoration, weed control, herbicide application, revegetation, and habitat improvement in diverse landscapes.
Ideal candidates have a genuine interest in conservation, can work in teams, and are willing to learn. A driver’s licence and ability to travel to sites are essential, with training and development opportunities available.
Acacia is seeking motivated Environmental Team Members to join our growing field operations team and work across a diverse range of environmental projects throughout Greater Melbourne.
From the Western Plains and grasslands, through Melbourne’s northern and eastern bushland reserves and Upper Yarra catchments, to waterways, parks and conservation areas across the south-east, our teams work in some of Melbourne’s most diverse and environmentally significant landscapes.
Whether you are an experienced environmental field worker, a conservation or ecology graduate, have experience in horticulture or land management, or are simply looking to build a career working in the natural environment, we would love to hear from you.
Acacia delivers environmental field works and consulting services across reserves, waterways, parks, open spaces and conservation areas throughout Greater Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Our teams undertake sensitive weed control, ecological restoration, revegetation and vegetation management to protect biodiversity, restore habitat and improve natural environments.
As Acacia continues to grow, we are looking for people who enjoy practical outdoor work, value teamwork and want to contribute to meaningful environmental outcomes.
As an Environmental Team Member, no two days will necessarily look the same.
Depending on your location, skills and the projects underway, you may work across native grasslands, bushland reserves, waterways, wetlands, parks and other significant natural areas throughout Melbourne.
Your work may include:
You will work as part of an experienced field team with support from Environmental Team Leaders and Acacia’s broader operational and technical teams.
This is practical outdoor work and will involve working in changing weather conditions, uneven terrain and physically demanding environments.
We are looking for people who:
Previous environmental experience is highly regarded, but you do not need to tick every box to apply.
Experience or qualifications in any of the following would be an advantage:
Training and development opportunities are available, and we are interested in hearing from both experienced environmental practitioners and people looking to establish themselves in the industry.
While we will aim to match team members with projects and areas that suit where they live, some travel will form part of the role so a licence and car is essential.
If you enjoy being outdoors, want your work to contribute to something meaningful and are interested in building a career in environmental management, we’d love to hear from you.
