Job summary

BaptistCare St Hilary’s in Morwell is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Assistant for casual shifts. The role focuses on delivering high hygiene standards and compassionate resident care in a home-like environment, with flexible weekday shifts and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out domestic tasks to maintain hygiene in a home-like environment.
• Availability for rotating 7-day roster is mandatory.
• Demonstrated reliability and teamwork in care settings.
• Willingness to obtain or hold National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Responsibilities

• Make residents' beds and tidy rooms.
• Clean residents’ rooms, ensuite, communal and administration areas.
• Remove and dispose of waste and manage recycling.
• Launder residents’ clothing and items as required.
• Restock linen trolleys and cleaning supplies.
• Perform other duties to maintain a pleasant, safe environment.

We have a casual opportunity available for an experienced Environmental Services Assistant at BaptistCare St Hilary’s in Morwell.

We are looking for dependable candidates who can work flexible hours to ensure high standards of hygiene and service are maintained.

THE ROLE

The major accountabilities of the role are the efficiency of the cleaning tasks and the quality of relationships the incumbent has with residents, which in turn impacts the overall service standard and atmosphere of the facility.

Some of your tasks include:

• Making residents' beds
• Cleaning residents’ rooms, including ensuite, communal and administration areas of the facility
• Removal and appropriate disposal of waste, including recycling where appropriate and placing of bins for collection
• Assisting with laundering the resident’s clothes and other items as required
• Other tasks and errands are required to maintain a pleasant, caring, and safe environment for the residents
• Restocking of linen trolleys and cleaning and paper products in all areas

ABOUT YOU

If you have experience carrying out a range of domestic tasks to maintain hygiene standards in a home-like environment, then this is the role for you!

What you’ll need:

• Availability for shifts across a rotating 7-day roster (mandatory)
• Friendly attitude and strong communication skills
• Reliable, team-focused approach
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Hold or be willing to obtain a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Proof of working rights in Australia
• Willingness to complete a medical assessment to confirm physical capability for the role
